      Minimum Requirements For Guided Self Study CCE Bootcamp



      Students must have strong computer skills, including the ability or desire to work outside the Windows GUI interface. The ability or desire to work with computer hardware, including the removal of hard-disk drives and changing jumpers is also required.  Certified Computer Examiner (CCE)® candidates must agree and abide to the ISFCE Code of Ethics and may be subject to a criminal background check.

      If you are an Online CCE Bootcamp student who had enrolled in your training prior to February 2, 2009, please follow this link to view your hardware / software requirements.  


      Minimum Requirements: 

      • PC with latest updates and BIOS
      • Windows XP, Windows Visita, Windows 7/8/10 Professional Operating system (32 bit and 64 bit versions)
      • Internet access
      • 512 MB (or more) memory
      • 2 GB or larger hard disk drive for examination purposes
      • 2 open/available USB 2.0 ports (Not USB hub)


      Recommended Configuration: 

      • Newer PC with latest updates and BIOS
      • Windows XP, Windows Visita, or Windows 7/8/10 Professional Operating system (32 bit and 64 bit versions)
      • Internet access
      • 2 GB (or more) memory
      • 2 GB or larger hard disk drive for examination purposes
      • 4 open USB 2.0 ports
      • 1 open Firewire / IEEE 1394 port
      • Read / Write Blocking device such as the 'FireFly Read/Write' device made by Digital Intelligence
      • A second computer for the purpose of reading instructions from PDFs and writing reports


      With the arrival of our newly revised course and software, it should now be possible for our online students to complete this course using either a desktop or laptop computer. In fact, we have had more success with students using laptop computers as of recently.
